What Truly Separates The Rich From The Poor

What Truly Separates The Rich From The Poor

In the world we live in today, the richest 1% of the population controls 48% of the total wealth and the top 80 richest individuals are worth as much as half the world’s population or roughly 3.5 billion people. When considering these figures, there is no doubting the fact that there is a separation between the rich and the poor. While many people assume these wealthy individuals gained their wealth by being born into wealth or winning the lottery, that simply isn’t true. In fact, only 11 out of the 80 richest individuals were passed down their fortunes with the other 69 having made their wealth through their own hard work and determination. And one of these 69 individuals is none other than the investor mogul himself, Warren Buffett. Like the majority of these rich individuals, Warren Buffett grew up in a middle-class family but found a way to amass the knowledge and skills that would eventually lead him to accumulating a wealth of over $70 billion. #ThePerspective More Videos That You Might Like: Why The Rich End up Poor But The Wealthy Enjoy Life - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK688vY8ouA 9 Ways to Be Good With Money - Why You Are Always Broke - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBGLT2UYQkY&t=121s 7 FINANCIAL SINS - WHY YOU WILL NEVER BE RICH - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQl9QJBb4qs Audible 30 Day Free Trial: https://amzn.to/2mO6ow0 Music: (Dreams) by Bensound.com Practical Wisdom – Interesting Ideas DISCLAIMER: I’m not a financial adviser. Social Well Being - Importance Of Social Connections - Social Life - Social Interactions

Social Well Being - Importance Of Social Connections - Social Life - Social Interactions

In this video I discuss the importance of social well being, social connections, social relationships and social interactions with other people. I also discuss social relationships and health, and how social media is bad, and good for you. Transcript (partial with notes) Social connections If you talk to someone that has recently moved, started a new job, or retired, and ask them what they miss most about their past situation, one of the most common answers is that they miss the people that were in their life. What that actually means is that they miss the social connections or relationships they had with those people. Social well being, social connections or social interactions with other individuals is crucial to mental health, which in turn is crucial to overall health. The lack of social connections has shown to increase stress hormones, weaken the immune system, and lessen cardiovascular functions. People who are lonely tend to consume more alcohol, exercise less, have less quality sleep, and fatigue easily. Social relationships allow you to share your achievements, and have support when times are tough. Imagine achieving a long term goal you had, what is the first thing you want to do, tell someone, share your accomplishment with friends and family of course. Or imagine if something terrible happened. Not having someone to lean on and talk to, can make that event linger, and make you feel even more isolated. Giving support in relationships can be more beneficial than receiving support. When someone shares something positive in their life with you, it is a compliment. They wanted you to be a part of their success, and they know that you have a sincere interest in their life. And when someone shares a tragedy in their life, you know they really trust you, and they are looking to you to help them through this difficult time. Some social relationships can be bad. A person that is constantly negative and has a poor outlook can bring you down, causing you stress, and negatively affect your mood. Someone that always talks about themselves, and makes all of your interactions about them, is not really a social connection. In that case you are just an audience member in their one person show on how wonderful their life is. Poor marital or relationship quality can also weaken the immune system, and erode physical health. Dealing with the stress from a poor relationship can lead to over consuming food or alcohol, smoking, or taking medications to deal with the stress, which in turn can damage systems in the body. Connections through social media can be beneficial, by allowing you to stay in touch with friends and family at distant locations, however, social media connections are not a good alternative for face to face in person contact. And too much time spent on social media can lead to more isolation and a greater feeling of loneliness. It is a good practice to use social media in moderation. To be healthy we need people in our lives, it doesn’t need to be 5000 facebook friends, and we don’t have to have everyone like us. Having strong social relationships with just a few people is fine. A few people that we can share life’s good and bad moments with, a few people that we can connect with on a regular basis, with no stress, and no judgments, a few people who accept us for who we are. How To Make Friends

We want to be part of your friendship journey, so we’ve created a few things you can share with new and old friends: https://kgs.link/shop-166 Sources & further reading: https://sites.google.com/view/sources-friendship/ Friends make life good. They provide the scaffolding that makes it not just bearable but fun. They give us a sense of meaning and purpose and are a source of security, self esteem and happiness. Almost nothing predicts how happy you will be as how connected you feel and a lack of social connection is associated with a number of diseases and a shorter life. But maybe you have scrolled through your phone, unsure who to call to go to a movie with, to celebrate with or ask for comfort. You may realize that you don’t have enough friends and feel lonely. And it is not just you. Disconnectedness and loneliness are widespread. Many people want more close friends but don’t know how to get them. How to find a mentor - the RIGHT way

How to find a mentor - the RIGHT way

This is my recommendation about how to find a mentor - the right way. This is the way that will give you the highest chance of actually finding a mentor. Snap/Insta: GPStephan Learn how to make money as a Real Estate Agent, build your network of clients, and the exact steps I’ve used to grow my business from $0 to over $120 million in sales: $50 off with code ThankYou50 for a limited time: https://goo.gl/UFpi4c Because click bait sucks, here’s what NOT to do: 1. Don’t just ask “Will you be my mentor” or “Will you mentor me?” 2. Don’t approach it having done no research about what you want to do 3. Don’t ask vague questions What you SHOULD do: 1. Already be doing and learning what you want to do and achieve - ON YOUR OWN 2. Do NOT let NOT having a mentor stop you from doing this 3. Be specific and have a basic background about what you want to do 4. Be open to ask for help, but if this is something you can learn from a 10 second google search…that’s bad 5. OPINIONS and EXPERIENCE are a mentor’s strong point, not necessarily factual knowledge 6. Offer something in return - doesn’t need to be monetary. Your time, your enthusiasm, your help..whatever you can give. I’ve never asked anybody I consider a mentor, “Will you mentor me?” It’s something that happened naturally over time. Asking “Will you mentor me? is a yes or no question and IF it’s a yes, it’s a HUGE obligation for that person. Very doubtful they’ll just say “yes” right off the bat. I’ve never approached anyone specifically - even with my mentors in real estate, it all happened organically. I hope the same comes to all of you watching. There are also a multitude of forums, websites, and videos for you to learn from on your own. Chances are if you’re interested in something, so are a million other people - use the internet to reach out and learn from as many people as you can and do what you want to do - mentor or no mentor. A mentor can be a great source of encouragement, knowledge, and wisdom. However, do what you want, regardless if you have someone coaching you or not, and eventually the right people tend to come along once they see how dedicated you are to whatever you do.
